I returned from Italy on Monday night. I wanted to write this big, effusive, excited post about all the things I learned, the amazing experiences I had, how wonderfully the research went, and so on.... and at some point I probably will.
It's just that as soon as I got back to New York, things went crazy. Work stuff, personal stuff, time stuff, school stuff, weather stuff, you name it. Some of it is frustrating and upsetting and has been taking up entirely too much time and energy. Some of it is good and I haven't given it enough attention or let myself enjoy it yet.
So... I need a little bit of time to adjust. Things aren't going to stop anytime soon (if anything, they're accelerating), but at some point, I will catch up. Please forgive me if I sound like I left my heart overseas.
